As the economic development and community redevelopment agency for the City of Jacksonville, the Office of Economic Development works with the area's regional economic development partners to maintain a competitive business environment, helping to expand and recruit targeted industries to bring job-generating investments into specific areas of the community. The Office of Economic Development has been a leader in the rebirth of Jacksonville's downtown, the redevelopment of commercial corridors in Northwest Jacksonville and the development of Cecil Commerce Center.
