JACKSONVILLE, Florida, August 12, 2024 — The City of Jacksonville is excited to announce the inaugural Hispanic Heritage Dinner Celebration, "Unidos Jax," set to take place on Thursday, October 3rd, 2024, at Deerwood Castle. This distinguished event is dedicated to honoring and celebrating the remarkable contributions of Jacksonville's vibrant Hispanic community.
The Unidos Jax Dinner is not only an evening of culinary delights but also a celebration of the unity, diversity, and excellence that defines Jacksonville's Hispanic community. This inaugural dinner is a testament to the strength, resilience, and inspiring work of Hispanic leaders who have made a significant impact across various fields, enriching the cultural, social, and economic fabric of our city.
The event will feature a diverse array of traditional Hispanic dishes representing four different countries, live music, and performances showcasing the richness of Hispanic culture. The evening will commence with a happy hour at the Jacksonville Car Museum, followed by a formal dinner in the main hall of Deerwood Castle.
In addition to the festivities, the Unidos Jax Dinner will include the presentation of awards to outstanding Hispanic leaders who have demonstrated exemplary service and leadership within the community. These awards recognize the individuals whose contributions have made a lasting impact on Jacksonville.
It will also feature local speakers who share insights on the importance of unity, diversity, and the ongoing contributions of the Hispanic community to the city’s growth and development.
