[Jacksonville, Fla.] - Air Van, Inc., a Jacksonville-based third-party logistics company (3PL) has acquired Imeson Distribution Center, a longtime logistics provider that has accommodated commercial transportation services since it was founded in 1983. The acquisition of the business took place on September 1, 2024, including both warehousing locations of Imeson Distribution Center(s) at 550 Gun Club Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218, and 555 Zoo Parkway, Jacksonville, FL 32218, adding over 700,000 square footage of warehousing space, bumping Air Van, Inc.’s total space to well over 800,000 square feet of mixed storage availability. This figure includes 35,000 square feet acquired with AVI’s recent purchase of G & C Cartage Co. Inc. in February of this year. Both Imeson locations were leased before the acquisition, and representatives Tyler Newman and Jacob Horsley of commercial real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield worked with Air Van and the landlord to negotiate a long-term lease renewal. Imeson CEO Daniel Webb and Air Van, Inc. owner Chip Matthews are both second-generation owners, following in their fathers’ footsteps, and have both taken those roles with the utmost honor and integrity - and now the two great companies have become one under Air Van, Inc.
