CITY RESCUE MISSION PROVIDES SAFE SHELTER FOR HURRICANE MILTON |

Jacksonville, Fla- City Rescue Mission (CRM) stands ready to assist those in need as Hurricane Milton impacts the First Coast. CRM will increase its overnight capacity as well as extend its hours for those seeking shelter from the Hurricane. “It is important to us to offer a safe place for our community’s most vulnerable during this inclement weather event,” says Paul Stasi, CRM Executive Director. “We want to be sure everyone is safe during this storm, so we are extending our shelter hours.” Guests seeking shelter during this inclement weather may check-in to City Rescue Mission’s New Life Inn (234 W. State Street, Jacksonville, FL 32202) on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, starting at 11:00am until the storm subsides or at the latest 4:00pm. All guests will receive a hot meal and will be offered access to showers and clean clothing. We are encouraging people to come in for their safety during this storm. “We are in collaboration with other agencies to accept their overflow and with law enforcement to accept people they pick up on the street,” says Jaime Williams, Director of Social Services.
