JACKSONVILLE, FL (October 4, 2024) –– At the September 18, 2024 Board of Directors meeting for the Florida Theatre Performing Arts Center, Inc., five officers were elected and will serve a two-year term through September 2026:
- Don Cameron – Chairperson
- PC Bryant - First Vice Chair and Chair-Elect
- Chad Labenz - Second Vice Chair
- Randi Guthard - Secretary
- Austin Wynn – Treasurer
“I have been coming to the Florida Theatre since I was six. I have been a lifelong attendee. My wife and I enjoy coming to the Theatre and the quality of the shows. It has been an honor to serve on the Board and now as Board Chair of this magnificent venue. I have seen shows here that I would never have seen elsewhere. It is a Jacksonville jewel,” said Don Cameron, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Florida Theatre Performing Arts Center, Inc.
In addition, Taylor Fleming, Assistant General Counsel at Florida Blue, was elected to the Board. And Leslie Gordon and Ed White are now Honorary Board members.
“I am honored to serve on the board, and I look forward to contributing my skills and experience to help the Florida Theatre continue to thrive while bringing fresh perspectives and new ideas to the table to ensure its continued relevance and success for many years to come,” said Taylor Fleming, Assistant General Counsel at Florida Blue.
The Florida Theatre is governed by a Board of Directors drawn from the community's civic leadership, who volunteer to oversee the institution's policies, governance, and finances. There are currently 27 Board Members serving in this capacity.
