Association of Fundraising Professionals Florida, First Coast Chapter Announces Honorees for National Philanthropy Day 2024 Awards
Jacksonville, FL - The Association of Fundraising Professionals Florida, First Coast Chapter is proud to announce the distinguished honorees for the National Philanthropy Day 2024 Awards. This annual event, which celebrates philanthropy and the remarkable individuals and organizations making a positive impact on our community, will take place on Friday, November 8, 2024, at the prestigious Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront Hotel. AFP FL, First Coast Chapter’s National Philanthropy Day Committee is honored to have Kent Justice, News4Jax co-anchor and reporter, serving as Master of Ceremonies for this year’s event.
The 2024 National Philanthropy Day honorees are:
Lifetime Achievement Award - Paul Bosland
Nominated by Baptist Health and Wolfson Children’s Hospital
Paul C. Bosland is a beloved community volunteer who has been actively involved in philanthropy and leadership of numerous organizations for more than 30 years. His enduring commitment serves as a testament to the transformative power of philanthropy and the profound difference that one individual can make.
Outstanding Champion of Diversity - Adam Chaskin
Nominated by Jewish Community Alliance
Whether advocating for legislation, fundraising for community programs, or overseeing campus improvements, Adam’s unwavering dedication ensures that the JCA remains a premier institution serving Jacksonville and beyond.
Outstanding Corporation - Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty
Nominated by Dreams Come True of Jacksonville
Berkshire Hathaway’s dedication to local causes is reflected in its engagement with over 50 nonprofit organizations, making a lasting impact on the community through financial contributions, volunteerism, and leadership.
Next Generation Award - Ryan Smith
Nominated by Jacksonville University
Ryan’s contributions and dedication to philanthropy, community service and mentorship exemplify what it is to be an inspiring example for the next generation of civic world leaders.
Outstanding Foundation - Mayo Clinic
Nominated by Sulzbacher
Mayo Clinic is committed to improving healthcare access in underserved communities through various causes, including mental health, senior care, and reentry programs for formerly incarcerated individuals.
Outstanding Philanthropist - Betty Berkman

Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser - Lauren Baker

Lauren Baker generously gives of her time and treasure to build community in Jacksonville and is paving the way for the next generation of philanthropists.
