Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar Sets Jacksonville Opening for November 7

Modern American tavern ready to shake things up with craft cocktails, farm-fresh flavors, and good vibes at St. John’s Town Center

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – November 1, 2024 – Calling all whiskey lovers! Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar is bringing its signature mix of spirited cocktails, scratch-made eats, and high-energy atmosphere to the St. Johns Town Center on Thursday, November 7. Set at 10209 River Coast Drive, this highly anticipated location marks the brand’s Jacksonville debut.

The new 8,500-square-foot space is designed to accommodate over 350 guests, offering a prime spot for lunch, dinner, and a lively weekend brunch. Indoor and outdoor seating includes two separate bars, an iconic Airstream seating 12, two private dining rooms, and a show-stopping Whiskey Wall with over 200 spirits. The restaurant’s eclectic design merges reclaimed, rustic elements with modern touches to create a laid-back space that feels both familiar and fresh.

“Whiskey Cake is all about bringing friends, family, and neighbors together in a warm, lively atmosphere where everyone can connect and enjoy the best in food and drinks,” said Ben Woodring, Vice President of Operations at Whiskey Cake. “We’re excited to celebrate Jacksonville’s local farmers, artisans, barkeeps and bad asses and become a meaningful part of the Jacksonville community.”

The Whiskey Cake menu features options including Goat Cheese Fondue and crispy Flash-Fried Brussels Sprouts and entrees like the Rotisserie Farm Bird, Tavern Burger and Bone-In Pork Chop. Menu items like Whiskey Cake’s custom-crafted seasonal melts, stacks and salads highlight the best local ingredients, including items from Jax Bread Co. and Bee Friend Farm in Jacksonville, in addition to Trevi Pasta located in central Florida. Of course, no visit to Whiskey Cake would be complete without trying its namesake dessert, the famous Whiskey Cake, a sticky toffee cake topped with spiced pecans and house-made vanilla whipped cream.

Whiskey Cake’s award-winning brunch, available every Saturday and Sunday, dials things up a notch with favorites like the Carrot Cake Pancake Stack and the savory Wagyu Wake-Up Hash.

Behind the bar, Whiskey Cake’s cocktail program features house-made syrups and fresh squeezed juices made from many items grown on-site in the garden. The drink menu offers old fashioneds, elixirs, whiskey flights, IPAs on tap, wines, and a variety of zero-proof options, ensuring a perfect pour for everyone. Signature drinks include whiskey cocktails and flights, spotlighting an extensive and celebrated whiskey collection available in two-ounce pours.

Whiskey Cake was founded in 2010 in Plano, Texas. The restaurant now has locations across Texas, Oklahoma and Florida and looks forward to expanding across the U.S.
