A Decade in the Making: Mark Krancer Publishes New Book

Jacksonville, FL, Nov. 13, 2024 – Since 2014, award-winning photographer Mark Krancer has shared his love for photography with the world. Becoming internationally known for his photo “Life in the River,” taken during the devastation of Hurricane Irma in Jacksonville in 2017, he subsequently received a Pulitzer Prize nomination for the image. Krancer’s works of photographic art are featured in art shows and exhibits across Florida and beyond, and now in a stunning, 148-page coffee table book, “Photographic Memory.”

Listed at $49.95, the hardbound, full color book is this holiday season’s gift to give! Photographic features include seascapes, raw nature, city life, mountain scenes and historic settings from around the world. Each chapter includes insights into Krancer’s journey, career, and photographic techniques.

Krancer’s photographic art has appeared in corporate and government offices, restaurants, and in local magazines such as ArbusLiving Luxe, Circles, as well as books, such as “Jacksonville’s Architectural Heritage: Landmarks for the Future” by Wayne W. Wood.

Designed by Lindsay Powell Design and published by Powell Publications, the book will be available at local bookstores as well as the website www.kramkranphoto.com.

Krancer won “Best Photographer” in Jacksonville.com’s 2018 Bold City Best competition and went full time into his professional photography career. In 2019, Krancer became a member of the Professional Photographers of America Association, founded in 1868. In 2020, he was honored with several artworks permanently exhibited in the new Jacksonville Regional Transportation Center. Krancer was also honored with the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville’s 2020 Art Award for “The Art Of Giving” for his philanthropic endeavors. He also became an official brand ambassador for Guy Harvey Outposts, where he showcases Florida’s natural beauty through his lens and teaches others.
