2025 Grant Opportunities Announced for Northeast Florida Nonprofits

The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida and its collective giving initiatives invite nonprofits to apply for funding through its competitive grantmaking process.

JACKSONVILLE, Florida – November 26, 2024 – The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida announced its 2025 grant opportunities today, inviting nonprofit organizations working in the six-county Northeast Florida region to apply for funding in areas detailed below.

The Community Foundation annually awards about $3 million in grants through its Foundation-directed grantmaking and collective giving initiatives, supporting organizations of all sizes, working on a variety of issues, and serving the entire six-county Northeast Florida region.

“Every grant we make is because of fundholders who have entrusted us to carry out their philanthropy during and after their lifetimes,” said Isaiah M. Oliver, President of The Community Foundation. “We’re grateful for the opportunity to connect generosity to community needs.”

Interested nonprofits are encouraged to read the details of each grant opportunity at jaxcf.org/apply, and, to refer to the guidelines for any questions they may have. The following is an overview of the 2025 grantmaking schedule:

Women’s Giving Alliance – Grants are available for nonprofits working to address violence against women and girls through two opportunities: one-year grants of up to $10,000 for organizations with an operating budget of $250,000 or less, and two-year grants of up to $125,000 for organizations of any size. Applications open on December 2, 2024; deadline to apply is January 16.

Small Organizations – Grants of up to $2,500 for small organizations with budgets of $150,000 or less. Funding can support strengthening organizations and program development. Applications open on December 3, 2024; deadline to apply is January 28, 2025.

Aging Adults – Grants of up to $25,000 for nonprofits that support aging adults or caregivers of aging adults. Applications open on January 2, 2025; deadline to apply is March 6, 2025.

Early Childhood – Grants up to $25,000 to support services to at-risk children under six years old in Duval County. Applications open on January 2, 2025; deadline to apply is March 6, 2025.

Supporting Neighborhoods – Grants up to $25,000 for nonprofits focused on strengthening neighborhood leadership, improving access to affordable housing, and/or expanding economic opportunity for marginalized residents of Northeast Florida. Applications open on January 2, 2025; deadline to apply is March 6, 2025.

Putnam County Program Support – Grants ranging from $10,000 to $25,000 for one or two years to assist with improving the quality of life in Putnam County. Applications open on January 2, 2025; deadline to apply is March 6, 2025.

Food and Needs Insecurity – Grants ranging from $10,000 to $20,000 for organizations serving residents experiencing food and basic needs insecurity in Northeast Florida. Applications open on January 2; deadline to apply is March 6.

Visual Art in St. Augustine – Grants are offered for sponsorships supporting visual art projects or events. Applications open on January 2, and are reviewed on a rolling basis.

A.L. Lewis Black Opportunity & Impact Fund – Grants up to $2,000 support nonprofit organizations and programs/projects working within predominantly Black neighborhoods in Duval County. Applications open on January 6, 2025; deadline to apply is February 14, 2025.

LGBTQ – Grants up to $10,000 for general program support for selected nonprofits with a primary mission to serve LGBTQ+ populations. Applications open on February 1, 2025; deadline to apply is March 25, 2025.

Art Ventures – Individual Artists – Grants up to $5,000 are designed to help Northeast Florida artists emerge to the next level of their artistic careers. Applications open on April 29, 2025; deadline to apply is June 24, 2025.
