JAXBIZ Makes Endorsements in Jacksonville City Council Races

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (April 6, 2023) — JAXBIZ, the nonprofit, nonpartisan political organization affiliated with JAX Chamber, announced endorsements for several Jacksonville City Council candidates in the upcoming general election.

?JAXBIZ endorsed:

 

¦ District 7: Jimmy Peluso
¦ District 9: Mike Muldoon
¦ District 14: Rahman Johnson

 

These endorsements are in addition to the following JAXBIZ-endorsed candidates who in March advanced to the May general election.

 

¦ District 2: Lindsey Brock
¦ District 8: Tameka Gaines Holly
¦ District 11: Raul Arias
¦ At-Large Group 5: Chris Miller

 

“This slate of business-friendly leaders will be excellent members of the City Council, along with those who were already elected by voters in March,” JAXBIZ Chair Abel Harding.

 

JAXBIZ endorsed candidates who were either elected in March or were elected without opposition are:

¦ At-Large Group 2: Ron Salem
¦ At-Large Group 3: Nick Howland
¦ At-Large Group 4: Matt Carlucci

 

 

The committee interviewed dozens of candidates earlier this year and looks to help elect business-friendly candidates committed to growing jobs in our community and keeping our economy thriving, as well as supporting Chamber priorities including downtown revitalization and talent development.

 

?The general election is May 16.
