Museum to offer unique gifts and inspiring experiences for all to enjoy
JACKSONVILLE, Florida — Nov. 27, 2024 — The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens invites the community to celebrate the holiday season through an array of special events and unique promotions.
“The holidays are a time of community, and we welcome all to enjoy the festivities at the Museum this year,” said Dr. Andrea Barnwell Brownlee, the George W. and Kathleen I. Gibbs Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Museum. “We offer something to inspire for all ages, and I can think of no better way to end the year than to engage the creative spirit.”
Beginning on Sunday, December 1, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Cummer Shop invites shoppers to participate in Museum Store Sunday, an annual holiday shopping day supporting cultural institutions and their stores. This year, more than 2,200 museum stores representing all 50 states and the District of Columbia, 25 countries and five continents will celebrate Museum Store Sunday and offer unique gifts for the holiday season—with all purchases supporting its parent institution and the artisans and craftspeople who create many of the gifts found in museum stores.
The Cummer Shop is the perfect place to find locally made, unique, and one-of-a-kind gifts like artisan jewelry, home décor, and special items that reflect the collections and gardens. On this day only, all shoppers will receive a 25 percent discount on every Museum Store Sunday purchase plus a 15 percent discount in the Cummer Café.
On Thursday, December 5 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday, December 6 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., the Museum is offering its signature holiday event, Champagne & Shopping. Shoppers ages 21+ may enjoy complimentary Champagne while shopping exclusive offers and trunk shows. This event is open to all shoppers, independent of Museum admission. Shop, sip and enjoy an additional 20% percent discount on all purchases.
Throughout the season, Cummer Café is also offering a special Holiday Happy Hour on Tuesday and Friday evenings with seasonal bites and drinks like Peppermint Cocoa and Hot Apple Cider, both available as adult beverages or kid-friendly.
In addition to festive shopping, the Museum is offering a variety of creative workshops and programs. Treat yourself or a loved one to an engaging experience this holiday season.
