CITY RESCUE MISSION BRINGS CHRISTMAS TO THOSE WHO ARE HURTING AND HOMELESS

Jacksonville, FL —December 13, 2024 - City Rescue Mission (CRM) is excited to host its annual Christmas meal for those experiencing homelessness on Thursday, December 19, at 11:30 a.m. at the New Life Inn Campus, located at 234 W. State Street in Downtown Jacksonville.
This cherished event exemplifies the compassion and generosity of the Jacksonville community donating, bringing together over sixty volunteers to serve a festive meal and share the spirit of the season. In addition, thanks to the generosity of our neighbors, hundreds of Shoeboxes of Love have been donated to provide gifts of care and comfort to those in need.
“Our community has shown extra compassion and generosity this year,” said Paul Stasi, Executive Director of City Rescue Mission. “This time of year, means so much to those we serve, and we are blessed to demonstrate the love and hope that God gives to each of us through the birth of His Son, Jesus Christ.”
Immediately following the meal, CRM and its volunteers will distribute these Shoeboxes of Love, along with coats, and sweaters to help guests through the winter. Toys will also be given to families so they can share the joy of gift-giving with their children.
This year’s annual Christmas public meal has been graciously sponsored by Fox Equipment, Expedite Services, Eric Havixbeck, Billy Kappaz, Paul Scott, Tommy Karst, and Dr. Travis and Laura Smith. Their support ensures this event brings joy and relief to the most vulnerable members of the Jacksonville community.
