Group to Focus Efforts on Bringing Meetings and Conventions to the City
Jacksonville, Fla. (December 17, 2024) – Visit Jacksonville and the Beaches, the City’s not-for-profit Destination Marketing Organization, recently welcomed five community leaders to its Board of Directors. The group of local professionals support tourism efforts in promoting the city and provide industry guidance for Visit Jacksonville.
This year, Barbara Bredehoeft, owner of b the Bakery and Country Harvest, will be the board chair. The new members joining the board are:
- Harold Craw, Executive Vice President/General Manager at Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp
- Cantrece Jones, President at Acuity Design Group, Inc.
- Angela Phillips, Regional Director of Sales & Marketing at Remington Hospitality
- Jeff Thompson, General Manager at Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront
- Jim Webb, General Manager at Ice Breakers Bar & Grill
“The knowledge and experience these five individuals bring to our Board of Directors will help the team at Visit Jacksonville shape the way we promote and sell our city as a tourist and meeting destination,” said Michael Corrigan, President & CEO of Visit Jacksonville. “One of the main focuses for the entire Board this year is our Bring It Home Jax initiative, encouraging those who live and work in Jacksonville to bring conferences and conventions they attend elsewhere here.”
By hosting a meeting or conference in Jacksonville, organizations will work directly with Visit Jacksonville while supporting local businesses and showing everyone why Jacksonville is a great destination for their group.
