Jacksonville Symphony presents classical, soul, organ and more in February 2025

Jacksonville, Fla. (January 28, 2025) — The Jacksonville Symphony presents four programs in February, including the internationally renowned project Violins of Hope on February 15, 2025. All performances take place in Jacoby Symphony Hall at the Jacksonville Center for the Performing Arts.

February 2025 Concerts

Symphony in 60 / Matinee Series: A Journey Through Symphonic Americana | February 6 at 6:30 p.m. and February 7 at 11:00 a.m.
Thomas Wilkins, Principal Conductor of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, returns to lead the Jacksonville Symphony through a symphonic exploration of Americana music. From heartfelt melodies to stirring rhythms, join us in celebrating the vibrant tapestry of American musical heritage.

Concert Organ Series: Solo Organ Recital | February 8 at 7:30 p.m.
Greg Zelek takes center stage in a captivating solo recital that showcases the boundless range of the Bryan Concert Organ. Embark on a journey spanning diverse musical eras, and marvel at Zelek's innovative technique and expression in this thrilling finale of the Concert Organ Series.

75th Anniversary Special: Violins of Hope | February 15 at 7:30 p.m.
Violins of Hope, the internationally beloved concert series featuring instruments once owned by Holocaust victims before and during World War II, returns to Jacoby Symphony Hall for a concert that is more than just a musical experience—it's a testament to the power of resilience and the importance of remembrance. Violins, violas and cellos, all lovingly restored by Israeli violinmakers, Amnon and Avshalom Weinstein, serve as symbols of hope in the face of unimaginable adversity. Join us for this profound evening of beauty, remembrance and solidarity.

Pops: Soul Kings: Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, The Righteous Brothers & More | February 21 and 22, 2025at 7:30 p.m.
Step into the world of soul music royalty with Soul Kings, a salute to artists like Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, The Righteous Brothers and more. The Symphony and star vocalists perform chart-toppers including “Sitting on the Dock of the Bay,” “Let's Stay Together,” “I Heard it Through the Grapevine” and “Lean on Me.” Join the Symphony in honoring the legends of soul who reign supreme.
