WHAT:
The Museum of Science & History (MOSH) presents its third annual POWER event — adynamic fusion of arts, culture, and history, designed to honor the rich and diverse contributions of the Black community in Jacksonville. The event will be held at the Museum on Saturday, February 8 from 6 - 10 p.m.
POWER is part of MOSH’s Passport Series, an ongoing series of cultural programming which aims to connect communities and cultures, and facilitate educational growth. MOSH invites visitors to listen, learn and enjoy the dynamic atmosphere.
Guests will enjoy a celebration of the culture that will include:

Dynamic speakers like Dr. David Jamison, presenting Divided We Fall, and other panel presentations tackling topics such as Black women’s health, how Black Jacksonville changed the world, and more

Artisans and chefs offering tastings and education

Performances by musicians and dancers

Trade folk that live in and contribute to the Black experience of Jacksonville.
This unforgettable celebration of Black History Month at the Museum of Science & History is appropriate for all ages.
Tickets include access to the full Museum, all panel presentations, live entertainment and samples of cuisine. Drinks will be available for purchase at MOSH’s bar; alcohol will be available for purchase for guests 21+.
