This exclusive tour promises to deliver an evening of rich melodies, deep storytelling, and powerful performances.  Ledisi’s unmatched vocal range and fearless exploration of love, self-discovery, and perseverance, will come to life with an electrifying stage show.  Fans can expect to hear anthems alongside beloved hits from her vast catalog.

Ledisi, a Grammy-winning vocalist, has wowed fans with her unparalleled vocals for over 20 years.  Ledisi is also a songwriter, author, actress, music producer, film producer, publisher, educator, and record company executive.

Growing up, Ledisi was heavily influenced by many soulful music icons, especially Dr. Nina Simone.  Ledisi, in 2021, released her dream project on her label entitled, Ledisi Sings Nina with the Metropole Orkest conducted by Jules Buckley and The New Orleans Jazz Orchestra conducted by Adonis Rose.  This tour de force jazz project garnered Ledisi her 14th Grammy nomination and received rave reviews, prompting John Legend to say, “In terms of her range, dexterity, clarity, and versatility, she can do anything she wants.  She’s one of the great singers in the world, period.”

In addition to a Grammy win and nominations, Ledisi has garnered three Soul Train Music Awards, 19 NAACP Image Award Nominations, an NAACP Theatre Award, and an NAACP nomination for Breakthrough Performance in a Film for her role as Mahalia Jackson in Remember Me.  Ledisi also received two LA Alliance Ovation Award Nominations, one for Best Featured Actress in a Musical.

Born in New Orleans and raised in Oakland, CA, Ledisi has earned a place in the pantheon of the greatest singers of her generation.  She has headlined nationally sold-out tours, and performed alongside Dave Matthews, Gary Clark Jr, Vince Gill, Keb Mo, and Maxwell, as well as jazz greats Herbie Hancock, Robert Glasper, and Patti Austin.

Recently coming off her performance at Super Bowl LIX, she is making a stop here in Jacksonville on her upcoming “The Crown Tour”.

Joining Ledisi on this extraordinary night is the incredibly talented Marsha Ambrosius, a legend in her own right.  Known for her distinct voice and lyrical prowess, Marsha will add an unforgettable layer of magic to the night’s performances.  There’s an emotional nature that only Marsha Ambrosius can conjure.  Her work over the years could be described as both vulnerable and compelling.

Born in Liverpool and raised in London, during the early ‘00s, Marsha first captured hearts as The Songstress in the duo Floetry.  Vocally, she conveys the lushness that is found in the crux of fulfilling love and heartache.

Her knack for excellent songwriting shines through most notably in Michael Jackson’s Butterflies and her diversity on numerous Hip-Hop hooks for Nas, Busta Rhymes, Nipsey Hussle, and many more.  Drake recently sampled her infamous vocal from her earlier work Getting Late on his track “Flight’s Booked” from his platinum selling record breaking Honestly, Nevermind album.

Tickets for “The Crown Tour” will go on sale on February 14th at 10 a.m. at www.floridatheatre.com and (904) 355-2787.
