Speak Easy Jax Gears Up for Launch: A New Voice for Jacksonville's Stories, Insights, and Conversations

Jacksonville, FL – April 2, 2025 – Jacksonville’s newest podcast, Speak Easy Jax, is set to premiere on Thursday, April 3rd, bringing listeners a platform for local stories and thought-provoking discussions. Hosted by community leaders Daniel Davis and TJ Ward, Speak Easy Jax aims to create a space where Jacksonville’s residents can tune into honest conversations with a variety of influential thought-leaders and professionals throughout the region.

 

With a focus on sports, politics, business, entertainment and education, each episode will offer fresh perspectives on issues that matter to listeners. 

 

Meet the Hosts:

Daniel Davis brings an unparalleled understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the local business community. Prior to joining the JAX Chamber as its President and CEO, Daniel was executive director of the Northeast Florida Builders Association (NEFBA), Florida’s largest local membership trade association. He previously served on the Jacksonville City Council and was elected President of the Council in 2007. In addition to leading the Chamber, he served in the State House of Representatives representing District 15.

 

TJ Ward is the Executive Director of Project Opioid North Florida. He has spent over 25 years of his professional life in the nonprofit sector, where he helped start and successfully grow two large organizations from the ground up. TJ also co-produced a project entitled, “Ending Overdose” that won a 2024 Emmy Award and a 2024 Florida Association of Broadcast Journalists Award. His experience in storytelling and connecting with people from all walks of life makes him the perfect co-host.

 

What to Expect from Speak Easy Jax:

Listeners can expect to hear from a diverse range of guests, from local entrepreneurs and civic leaders to business executives and philanthropists who are making a difference in Jacksonville. Upcoming episodes will feature Tabitha Furyk, John Peyton, Frank Frangie, and more, with 15 episodes comprising the inaugural season. 

 

Every episode of Speak Easy Jax promises to be a must-listen for anyone interested in the city’s growth, culture, and the people behind it all. The first two episodes will be available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube beginning Thursday, April 3rd, with subsequent episodes being made available every Thursday thereafter.
