Festival Features Over 40 Artists Transforming The Legacy Building in Historic Springfield
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — April 10, 2025 — The Phoenix Arts & Innovation District (PHX JAX) and Jax Wall Project announce the 2nd Annual Spring Mural Jam, showcasing over 40 of the region's most talented muralists, graffiti writers, and street artists. Taking place on Saturday, April 19, 2025, this dynamic one-day event will transform the Legacy Building at 2404 Hubbard St. as well as the walls on 14th Street, between Market and Hubbard Streets, into a vibrant outdoor gallery.
"The Spring Mural Jam represents everything we're working to build in the Phoenix Arts District—a vibrant, inclusive creative ecosystem where artists can thrive and the community can engage directly with the creative process," said Emily Moody, Chief Experience Officer & VP of PHX JAX. "By transforming our walls into canvases, we're not just beautifying spaces; we're creating outdoor galleries and accessible art that tell our neighborhood's evolving story while establishing PHX JAX as a destination for artistic expression for Northeast Florida."
Building on the success of last year's inaugural PHX JAX event in Jacksonville’s emerging arts district, the 2025 Spring Mural Jam will provide a platform for artists to create large-scale works while engaging with the community. From 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., visitors are invited to watch art come to life, meet the creators and experience the transformative power of public art in the Springfield neighborhood.
"The PHX JAX Spring Mural Jam isn't just a festival—it's a movement," said Elena Øhlander, artist and festival co-organizer. "Last year's event proved that public art is more than just beautification—it's a catalyst for connection, creativity, and revitalization. In 2025, we aim to expand this impact, fostering new artistic voices, deeper community engagement, and a stronger cultural identity for Jacksonville.
Walls along 14th Street and within the Interior Art Park will showcase the diverse talents of participating creators. The event will feature an impressive lineup of participating artists
