Jacksonville, Fla. (April 24, 2025) – The Jacksonville Symphony presents its tenth Florida Blue Classical concert, “Mozart’s Requiem & Double Concerto,” on May 16 and 17, 2025 as part of its 75th Anniversary Season. Led by Music Director Courtney Lewis, the program features Concertmaster Adelya Nartadjieva, Principal Violist Yun-Ting Kuo, the Jacksonville Symphony Chorus and acclaimed vocal soloists Nola Richardson, Reginald Mobley, Anthony León and Scott Conner. This concert also marks the final performance of the season for the Symphony Chorus, which celebrated its 40th Anniversary this year.
The program includes two iconic works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Sinfonia concertante and Requiem. The first piece, Sinfonia concertante, showcases Nartadjieva and Kuo as soloists in a vibrant, Italian-influenced work that blends elegance with energy. Mozart’s Requiem takes the second half of the program, featuring more than 100 voices from the Symphony Chorus along with four guest soloists. Widely regarded as one of Mozart’s most profound and emotionally charged compositions, Requiem is known for its dramatic choral writing and powerful orchestration.
