Community Hospice & Palliative Care Team Members Honored with Statewide Awards from Florida Hospice & Palliative Care Association

June 3, 2025 (Jacksonville, Fla.) Community Hospice & Palliative Care is proud to recognize two exceptional employees, Alexis Kidd and Betsy Miller, for receiving statewide honors from the Florida Hospice & Palliative Care Association (FHPCA). Both serve in key roles with The Foundation of Community Hospice & Palliative Care and have been acknowledged for their leadership, creativity, and dedication to advancing the mission of hospice care.

Alexis Kidd, Foundation Operations Manager, was awarded the Rising Leader Award, which recognizes emerging professionals in hospice who demonstrate outstanding leadership and vision early in their careers. Alexis’s commitment to operational excellence and her innovative approach to donor engagement have made a meaningful impact across the organization and beyond.

Betsy Miller, Development and Community Engagement Officer, received the Hospice Story Award for her ability to capture and share the powerful stories of patients, families, and caregivers. Her work shines a light on the compassion and care at the heart of the hospice experience, helping to educate and inspire community support through storytelling.

Presented annually, the FHPCA Awards celebrate excellence among hospice professionals across Florida. These recognitions highlight the significance of emerging leadership and effective communication in enhancing access to and understanding of end-of-life care.
