REMINDER: CITY OF JACKSONVILLE’S FOURTH OF JULY FIREWORKS CELEBRATION

TO LIGHT UP THE SKY IN DOWNTOWN JACKSONVILLE

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., July 1, 2025 The City of Jacksonville invites you to celebrate our nation's independence with a spectacular fireworks display in the heart of Downtown Jacksonville, on Friday, July 4th, starting at 9:00 p.m.

This year, the impressive display of fireworks will take place exclusively in Downtown Jacksonville. We are moving back to the traditional Downtown location to return to the pre-Covid norm and reduce expenses. The expanded locations started during the pandemic to make it easier for residents to attend when public gatherings were not happening.

You can view the fireworks from the North and South banks along the St. Johns River in Downtown Jacksonville. Launch locations are the Acosta Bridge and East of the Main Street Bridge. Public and private parking lots will be open. Parking lots are listed below, but are subject to availability and changes (a map is also attached):

Southbank

  • DCPS Parking Lot: 1701 Prudential Dr., Jacksonville, FL 32207
  • Kings Ave Station Parking Garage: 1201 King Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32207
  • Under Acosta Expressway: 901 Museum Circle, Jacksonville, FL, 32207
  • Friendship Fountain, where JaxParks will be hosting it’s monthly “1st Fridays” event from 6-9:30pm

Northbank

  • Old Landing Lot Parking: 21 E. Coastline Dr, Jacksonville, FL, 32202

The annual fireworks celebration will require the shutdown of the Main Street Bridge and the Acosta Bridge. Full bridge closures for both bridges will take place from 8:45 pm to 10:30 pm. All roadways are expected to reopen by 10:30 pm.
