Orange Park Mall Hosts Back to School Bash This Saturday
Just in Time for Florida’s New Month-Long Tax-Free Holiday
Orange Park, FL – July 30, 2025 – Orange Park Mall is inviting families to gear up for the new school year at its Back to School Bash this Saturday, August 2, with a day full of fun activities and opportunities to save big during Florida’s Tax-Free Holiday. The event kicks off at 11:00 AM in the JCPenney Court, where community partner “Doing What We Dream” will host a school supply giveaway while supplies last. Families can also enjoy a bounce house and face painting in the same area.
Over near Dillard’s, guests can visit the Confidence Counts Uplift Station, a special kindness zone designed to help everyone kick off the school year with confidence. Kids can write encouraging notes for classmates and teachers at the Kindness Card Kiosk, strike a pose at the First Day Selfie Stop and add their power word to the Wall of Confidence, while parents enjoy light refreshments at the Recharge Station. The main stage will feature a Premiere Martial Arts demo at 12:00 PM and the always-popular Dillard’s Fashion Show at 2:00 PM, plus a balloon artist will be on-site adding to the fun.
“Our Back to School Bash is a community favorite, and this year’s event is perfectly timed with Florida’s Tax-Free Holiday,” said Randy Bowman, General Manager at Orange Park Mall. “It’s a chance for families to stock up on essentials without paying sales tax and enjoy a full day of fun before the school year begins.”
Florida’s Tax-Free Holiday runs August 1 – 31, giving shoppers the opportunity to purchase clothing, footwear, school supplies, and select electronics without paying sales tax. All stores throughout Orange Park Mall are participating, making it the ideal place to shop, save, and celebrate the season.
