Jacksonville, FL: WJXT / News4JAX: The Local Station was named Overall Station of the Year for Medium Market at the Florida Association of Broadcast Journalists (FABJ) Florida News Awards, earning top honors and multiple additional recognitions that reflect the station’s commitment to trusted local journalism and community service.
“Our team doesn’t do this work with awards in mind — we do it because our community depends on us,” said Vice President and General Manager Terri Cope Walton. “This acknowledgment is a reflection of the good work our journalists, producers, photographers, editors and digital teams deliver every day.”
The News4JAX team took home several big wins across key categories, including multi-media reporting, economic reporting and cultural/historical storytelling.
The mission of Florida Association of Broadcast Journalists is to support and inspire creative and impactful storytelling with the purpose of showing the critical importance journalism has in the State of Florida.
