Jacksonville, FL (June 21, 2023) - It was one of Jacksonville’s most frequent customer requests –a quicker way to get to the Swedish Restaurant & Café, located mid-point in the massive 300,000 sq. ft store. In February, IKEA Jacksonville opened its Express Entrance to make the journey shorter for its breakfast and lunch customers. Open just shy of 4 months, the Express Entrance has been a rousing success with weekday customers, leading IKEA Jacksonville to make the express entrance permanent, while expanding its hours.
IKEA Jacksonville’s third store entrance will officially open on Friday, June 23, 2023. The Swedish Restaurant entrance gives all customers the opportunity to park and enter the IKEA Swedish Restaurant and IKEA’s Market Hall with just a few steps. The new entrance will operate according to normal store hours, opening at 9:30 am and closing at 9 pm, Monday through Saturday. IKEA closes at 8 pm on Sundays. Customers with product purchases will still need to exit through the store's main entrance and exit areas where cash registers are located.
As a special treat, and to help launch the opening of its newest entrance, IKEA Jacksonville will host an all day, traditional Swedish Midsummer all you can eat Buffet on June 23. For those not familiar with Swedish Midsummer, it is a feast of wonderful treats. The Midsummer Buffet menu includes Seafood Plate Sampler/Cold Plate Sampler/Cold Salads/Hot Buffet (Poached Salmon with Lemon Caper Sauce, Swedish Meatballs & Plant balls with cream sauce, red potatoes with Dill butter, Roasted Vegetable Salad)/Kids Hot Sampler/Dessert/Drinks.
Please note the Swedish Restaurant will not serve a regular menu on 6/23. Regular menu items can still be purchased in the store’s Bistro located near the front entrance. Buffet seatings will run after breakfast service, from 11 am to 7 pm. Tickets can be purchased in store at the Swedish Restaurant in advance or day of. Adults $24.99/IKEA Family member price $19.99. Children $19.99/IKEA Family member price $9.99
