Free community yoga class brings movement and connection to Grace Note Brewing as Alchemy takes shape in Ortega.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — September 16, 2026 — Alchemy Yoga & Wellness, a locally owned yoga, recovery and wellness studio preparing to open in Jacksonville’s Ortega neighborhood, will host Kula at Grace Note Brewing on Saturday, September 26, from 9:45–10:45 AM.
The complimentary community event will feature Kula, Alchemy’s signature all-levels community flow, led by Alchemy founder Tamara Bettes.
Rooted in the Sanskrit word for community, Kula reflects one of the ideas at the heart of Alchemy: creating opportunities for people to move together, connect and build relationships beyond the walls of the studio.
The one-hour practice will feature accessible sequencing, clear guidance and space for participants to move at their own pace, making the class approachable for those who are new to yoga, returning to their practice or already have an established practice.
Following class, guests are invited to stay for conversation, connection and a complimentary beverage while experiencing the community surrounding Alchemy before its doors officially open.
“As the physical space for Alchemy takes shape, so does the community around it,” said Bettes. “We’re watching people return, bring friends, make connections and stay long after practice ends. Kula was created for exactly that—to use movement as a starting point for something more meaningful.”
The collaboration grew from a shared appreciation for community and locally owned businesses. Grace Note Brewing co-owner Jeremy Baker welcomed the opportunity to host Alchemy just minutes from its future Ortega home, creating a natural partnership between two neighborhood businesses invested in bringing people together.
The event comes during an important month for Alchemy as the studio prepares to introduce its Founding Memberships in October. September marks the final month to join the Alchemy waitlist before Founding Membership invitations are extended, with waitlist members receiving first access.
