JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Gamble Builders is pleased to announce that Stephen Hobbs has joined the company to lead business development and strengthen the company’s involvement in Jacksonville’s business community, with a focus on building relationships, supporting local investment and helping businesses move projects forward across Northeast Florida.
In his new role, Hobbs will focus on developing connections with business owners, developers, commercial real estate professionals, architects, engineers and other organizations involved in the region’s continued development. He will also work to connect Gamble Builders with clients earlier in the planning process, helping businesses evaluate construction needs, opportunities, budgets and timelines before a project reaches the building stage.
Hobbs brings extensive experience in sales, operations, business development and organizational leadership. A U.S. Coast Guard veteran, he began his civilian career in operational leadership before transitioning into business development and eventually taking on key leadership roles within growing organizations.
Most recently, Hobbs co-founded a national logistics organization and served as a core leader, growing the company from a startup into a coast-to-coast operation with approximately 500 employees and more than $60 million in annual revenue. His role extended well beyond sales and included developing customer partnerships, launching new accounts, building teams and creating the operational structure needed to support that growth.
Throughout his career, Hobbs has found that lasting business success comes from understanding people, earning trust and consistently delivering on commitments.

That philosophy will guide his work at Gamble Builders as he becomes more involved in Jacksonville’s business community and introduces the company to owners, developers and professionals across Northeast Florida.
“After spending much of my career building and operating businesses across the country, I wanted my next chapter to be much more connected to the community my family calls home,” Hobbs said. “My family has planted our roots in St. Johns County and the greater Jacksonville area, and I want to invest my time and experience here — building connections within the business community and helping Gamble Builders become a trusted resource for companies investing in Northeast Florida.”
