Yoga 4 Change Announces 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training to Empower Communities Through Healing Practice

Jacksonville, FL - Yoga 4 Change, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming lives through the practice of yoga, is thrilled to announce its upcoming 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training program. This comprehensive training will take place from October 2023 to March 2024, combining in-person sessions in Jacksonville, FL, on weekends (Saturdays 8am-6pm, and Sundays 8am-4pm) and virtual classes every Wednesday evening from 6pm-9pm.

Yoga 4 Change's 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training offers a unique curriculum designed to equip aspiring yoga teachers with the skills and knowledge needed to understand their own practice and become effective teachers. Led by the passionate leaders of Yoga 4 Change, whose diverse backgrounds span research, criminal justice, and community development, this training stands apart from others as it is taught through a trauma-informed approach and has emphasis on serving populations who have sustained significant trauma.

"Our goal is to offer a well-rounded yoga teacher training where individuals graduate feeling empowered to teach yoga to anyone, anywhere, at anytime," said Michelle LeClair, Executive Director at Yoga 4 Change. "While we ensure our graduates have the skills to potentially obtain teaching employment, this training is not limited to aspiring yoga instructors. It is ideal for individuals who want to dive deeper into their practice and/or have a desire to give back to the world in a powerful, transformative way.”

Yoga 4 Change has partnered with FreshMinistries, who graciously donated the use of their space, the Weaver Center for Community Outreach, located at 616 A Philip Randolph Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32202. While Yoga 4 Change does not have a brick-and-mortar location, this dedicated facility provides an ideal environment for immersive learning and practice.

Applications for the 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training are now open and will be accepted until August 15, 2023. Interested individuals can apply by visiting this link. The Yoga 4 Change team will diligently review all applications and notify successful candidates of their acceptance by August 31, 2023. The cost of the training is $3,000, and payment plans are available. Upon successful completion of all program requirements, including tuition payment, students will receive a certificate recognizing their completion of the Yoga 4 Change 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training. This certification is designed to fulfill the requirements necessary to become a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT), enabling graduates to pursue Yoga Alliance certification.
