THE WOMEN’S CENTER OF JACKSONVILLE AND FARAH & FARAH PAIR UP TO TACKLE TRAUMA

Farah & Farah to be the presenting sponsor of THRIVE! 2023 Picking Up the Pieces

Jacksonville, Fla.  (August 4, 2023) – The Women’s Center of Jacksonville (WCJ) and Farah & Farah witness trauma on a daily basis and this is why they are presenting a united front for the WCJ’s annual fundraiser this August. Trauma affects all individuals, no matter their age, race, ethnicity, gender, or sexuality, and can have long-lasting effects on a person's mental, emotional, and physical well-being. THRIVE! 2023 will share the tools needed to pick up the pieces and move forward in the aftermath of trauma.
Eddie Farah, founding partner of Farah & Farah, will serve as the first-ever male chair of the THRIVE! host committee that helps to secure support for the event. Eddie joins a prestigious list of past chairs, including Audrey Moran (Duval County judge), Melissa Nelson (state’s attorney) and Susan Towler (executive director of the Florida Blue Foundation).
THRIVE! 2023 Picking up the Pieces takes place on Aug. 22, 2023, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the Florida Blue Conference Center. The Host this year is Melanie Lawson, The Morning Show anchor on News4JAX.
“We are thrilled to have Farah & Farah’s support this year,” says, Teresa Miles, executive director of the WCJ. “Their understanding of trauma and the support they provide to the community makes them the perfect partner. And having Eddie chair the host committee will help us create a united front across the community in supporting victims of trauma.”
There are four sponsorship categories available: WCJ Friend ($1,000); Bronze
($2,500); Silver ($5,000); and Gold ($10,000). All the money raised benefits the WCJ and the lives of women, their families, and all survivors of sexual assault, they work so hard to improve.
“I was honored to be asked to get involved with the Women’s Center, as it truly is a valuable community resource”, Eddie Farah says. “My team and I see trauma every day and we know first-hand how debilitating it can be to people’s lives. I hope that with the firm’s reach, more people will know about the services they offer and join us in supporting those when they need it the most.”
