Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida to Host 6th Nonprofit Works Conference on September 14, 2023

JACKSONVILLE, FL – On September 14, 2023, the Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida will host their 6th annual Nonprofit Works Conference catering to nonprofit employees, board members and volunteers; the conference helps build the capacity of local charitable organizations. The theme for Nonprofit Works this year is “Inspire.” The Nonprofit Center’s annual conference is the only day-long, local professional learning opportunity for nonprofit staff and volunteers to gather, learn and connect. Many nonprofit leaders send teams to take advantage of the low-cost, high return conference.

Featured keynote speaker Rusty Stahl is CEO, Founder and President of Fund the People. Their mission is to maximize investment in America’s nonprofit workforce. Stahl believes that when nonprofit leaders have the support to not just survive, but to thrive, the entire community benefits. During Stahl’s keynote he will address the transformative Funding that Works Framework that is being developed at Fund the People, the national initiative to maximize investment in an equitable, effective, and enduring nonprofit workforce.

Following his keynote, Rusty will be leading a breakout session on Adopting Talent-Focused Fundraising in Your Organization. Geared primarily toward nonprofit founders, executive leaders, and board members this session will help participants consider practical ways they can use talent-focused fundraising to increase investment in their staff and to build the systems needed to support organization’s people.

Twelve other speakers and breakout sessions will take place during the day-long conference, including guest speakers Isaiah Oliver, President of The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida, representative from Community First Credit Union, Suni Storm, spoken word artist, and an opportunity for participants to receive free professional headshots by Amanda Rosenblatt, Sideways Photography.

The Nonprofit Center thanks Community First Credit Union and The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida for generously sponsoring Nonprofit Works: Inspire.
