JACKSONVILLE, FL (September 26, 2023) – One of Jacksonville’s most exciting events honoring women in healthcare is back for its eighth year of celebration! On Wednesday, February 7, 2024, Volunteers in Medicine (VIM) will host the Eighth Annual Women with Heart Luncheon at the Florida Blue Conference Center. The Women with Heart honorees are remarkable community leaders selected for their commitment to the advancement of the health of Northeast Florida.
Additionally, VIM will honor Dr. Davalu “Davy” Parrish with its 2024 Dorion-Burt Heart of Gold Award. Dr. Parrish is a Jacksonville humanitarian and visionary who dedicated her career to serving at-risk children and families. Dr. Parrish is often recognized for her role as President and CEO of The Bridge, which for years provided a safe and nurturing space for thousands of at-risk teens.
