Timucuan Preserve to host World Migratory Bird Day Celebration April 22, 2023

JACKSONVILLE, FL— Timucuan Preserve is Jacksonville's national park! It provides thousands of acres of stopover habitat for birds as they migrate through the area.

During spring migration, birds from around the world make Timucuan Preserve their temporary homes. To celebrate, Timucuan Preserve will host World Migratory Bird Day on April 22, 2023, with special arts and crafts, hikes, the Great Migration Obstacle Course, and spotting scope chats to help the community connect with the preserve and the birds that live here.
Ever wanted to get into birding, but not sure how? Tag along with the Duval Audubon Society free bird hikes being offered at Fort Caroline National Memorial during the event. Limited addition Migratory Bird Day stickers available for pick up at Fort Caroline National Memorial
