Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve to Host Science and History Symposium on January 26, 2024 |

JACKSONVILLE – 12/19/23 – Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve is hosting the tenth Timucuan Science and History Symposium on Friday, January 26th, 2024 in partnership with Talbot Islands State Parks and Timucuan Parks Foundation. The event will be held at the Florida Park Service’s Ribault Club on Fort George Island in Jacksonville, Florida. Researchers, students, and community members are encouraged to attend and learn more about the exciting research projects being conducted in Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve. A variety of topics ranging from wildlife biology and salt marsh ecology to archeological research and cultural and historic studies will be presented. This event brings the best researchers and scholars from the region and beyond together to present their findings. This is a fantastic opportunity for students and the public to learn more about the research being done in Jacksonville’s own National Park Service unit.” Early bird registration runs from now until December 31st at $35. The registration rises to $45 on January 1st. Student registration is $15 from now until registration closes on January 24th or when we have 100 registrants, whichever comes first.
