Jacksonville Venture Competition and Jacksonville Business Journal Announce Partnership, Including Presenting Sponsorship for 2024 Event

The Jacksonville Venture Competition is proud to announce that the Jacksonville Business Journal has signed on as the presenting sponsor for the 2024 event — a move that presages changes to the area's top entrepreneurship event in coming years.

The 2024 JVC, presented by the Jacksonville Business Journal, will be held on March 12 and 13th at Club West in EverBank Stadium. The event is designed to enrich the local economy and community by bridging the gap between investors and entrepreneurs.

Following the 2024 event, the JVC will move to become one of the signature events presented by the Business Journal, joining the likes of 40 Under 40, Women of Influence and Fast 50: Jacksonville's Fastest-Growing Companies. The move builds on the JBJ's increased coverage of Jacksonville's entrepreneurial community, including the growth of its First Coast Inno vertical.

"We're thrilled about this partnership with the Jacksonville Business Journal for JVC 2024. It signifies a new era of collaboration, propelling Jacksonville towards becoming a hub for innovation and economic growth." Matthew Chang, founder of JVC, said.

JVC’s inaugural event took place in 2023 with the goal of building a world-class startup ecosystem in Jacksonville. JVC stands to promote women in the start-up and investment ecosystem, diversity of people and views, and bring a platform to non-profits that are working hard to build community. JVC continues to cultivate a thriving economic ecosystem in Jacksonville by hosting the annual competition, networking events, investing in student entrepreneurs, and sharing thought leadership content.

Since 1985, the Business Journal has helped identify the companies and leaders that are doing the most to expand economy across the region, JBJ Publisher and Market President Sara Pomposo said: Working with the JVC is a way to help one of the area's fastest-growing sectors hit new heights.

"For almost 40 years, the Jacksonville Business Journal has helped keep the community informed about the successes and challenges facing local businesses," JBJ Publisher and Market President Sara Pomposo said. "We're excited about the opportunity to help connect and celebrate the investors, startups and entrepreneurs who will shape the First Coast's future."
