The event, presented by the Doolittle Family, will take place on Sunday, March 3 at TPC Sawgrass
Jacksonville, Fla., Feb. 15, 2024 – North Florida Land Trust is hosting its 2024 Annual Meeting and 25th Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, March 3 at TPC Sawgrass presented by the Doolittle Family. Tickets are available for the event which brings together a community of donors, supporters, and business partners to celebrate the work of the nonprofit land conservation organization dedicated to protecting natural landscapes. The annual meeting will be held from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and includes a champagne brunch and program.
“We look forward to showing everyone all the things we have been able to accomplish in 2023 and what is ahead for conservation in 2024,” said Allison DeFoor, president of NFLT. “Our work to save Florida’s natural places is more important than ever and we have been doing it for 25 years which is quite a milestone for any organization. We are clearly here to stay. Our impact has been astounding with more than 36,000 acres saved. It is time to celebrate and chart our new path forward. We invite everyone to join us to learn more about what we are doing and how they can become a part of the effort. We are all in this together and it is now or never.”
The 2024 Annual Meeting will feature Keynote Speaker Charles Lee, a lifelong advocate for conservation who has spent more than 50 years working with the Florida Audubon Society and Audubon Florida, the state’s oldest and largest environmental organization. He has had many roles since joining the organization in 1972 and currently serves as its director of advocacy. Lee has been involved in numerous conservation efforts in Florida including the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan, Preservation 2000 Land Acquisition Program and the Protection of the Wekiva River. Audubon Florida recognized him last year with the dedication of the Charles Lee Sabal Point Wildlife Sanctuary in Central Florida. During the annual event, NFLT will also recognize the region’s greatest champions for conservation.
General admission tickets are $150 per person and can be purchased here. Tickets are also part of each sponsorship package, along with other benefits.
