THE FLORIDA THEATRE BALL: VEGAS-STYLE SATURDAY, MAY 18TH AT THE FLORIDA THEATRE

JACKSONVILLE, FL, March 6, 2024 – Don’t miss “The Florida Theatre Ball:  Vegas-Style,” presented by DEX Imaging on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at the historic Florida Theatre in downtown Jacksonville.

Join us on May 18th as the nonprofit Florida Theatre is transformed into Vegas.  The evening will support the Theatre's mission to enhance Northeast Florida's quality of life by bringing unique arts and entertainment experiences to our community and preserving a historic Jacksonville landmark.

The event is black tie or costume.  Vegas colors are black, red, or gold.  So, dust off your tux, shop for a new sequin dress, be Elvis with rhinestones, or be a Vegas showgirl complete with a feather headdress.  The choice is yours.

Start the evening with complimentary valet parking for your pink Cadillac, pass the fire dancers under the Florida Theatre marquee, then head into the Theatre for a night of classic cocktails, get your picture taken with Elvis, get married or renew your vows, enjoy the infamous Vegas buffet by Well-Oiled Events, try your luck at Black Jack in the casino, bid on high roller auction items, and dance the night away with The Chris Thomas Project…and give the cage dancers and showgirls a run for their money.

Tickets are $175 (click here) and proceeds will benefit the nonprofit Florida Theatre.  Buy your tickets today at www.floridatheatre.com or by calling/emailing Michelle Adams at (904) 562-5973 or michelle@floridatheatre.com.

The performing arts provide connection, and pride, and build a unique identity for a community.  DEX Imaging is proud to be sponsoring the Florida Theatre Ball again this year.  We love helping this historic, nonprofit Theatre with its mission as they have been fostering these connections for nearly 100 years in our Jacksonville community.

The Florida Theatre Ball contributes to the cultural vibrancy of our community while also fostering connections and supporting the arts in a meaningful way.  I’m honored and excited to be collaborating with a fantastic committee and Florida Theatre staff, co-chairing such an elegant and impactful event.  It truly is fulfilling.

~Laura Phillips Edgecomb, Principal, Downtown Public Spaces, Jessie Ball duPont Fund

I’m so thrilled to be co-chairing this year's Vegas-themed Florida Theatre Ball.  With the glamour and glitz of Las Vegas serving as our inspiration, our guests can expect a night filled with high-energy entertainment and non-stop excitement.   Get ready to roll the dice and experience a night of unforgettable thrills and glamour while supporting our beloved, historical theatre.

~Priyanka Murphy, Co-Chair of The Florida Theatre Vegas Ball

Going, going, gondola!  It’s no Mirage.  The Florida Theatre is going to Vegas, baby, for its 11th Annual Ball.  Frank Sinatra once said, “Las Vegas is the only place I know where money really talks – it says, goodbye,” but in this case, it’s for a good cause.  What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, but what happens at the Florida Theatre on May 18th, you’ll want to tell everyone, because you’ll be supporting the nonprofit activities of the historic Florida Theatre.  Keep calm and play poker.  Viva Las Vegas.

~Numa Saisselin, President of the Florida Theatre
