2024 Real Estate and Infrastructure Games Raised $35,855

Jacksonville-based infrastructure and development consulting firm England-Thims & Miller hosted a fundraising field day on April 12 in partnership with the Jacksonville Jaguar Foundation

April 15, 2024 — Jacksonville, Fla. —  England-Thims & Miller, Inc. (ETM), in partnership with the Jacksonville Jaguars Foundation, hosted the 2024 Real Estate and Infrastructure Games (REI Games) on April 12 at the Jacksonville Jaguar’s Daily’s Place Flex Field. The fun field day had 340 participants and raised $35,855 in funds for the American Heart Association Heart Challenge and Goodwill Industries North Florida.

“The Real Estate and Infrastructure Games is an opportunity for those working in our industry to meet each other on the playing field for a day of team building and community,” said Tyler Mathews, ETM President. “Year over year, this event allows our friends, partners, and colleagues to come together and enjoy a day of camaraderie, all for a good cause.”

The REI Games included a full day of play on the field with games including tug of war, dodge ball and more. ETM hosted the inaugural REI Games in 2022 with 145 participants. Participating company teams were composed of 8 to 10 players, and all members of the Real Estate and Development industry were invited to join.

“We are extremely grateful for the opportunity to participate as a beneficiary of this event. All funds will support our Goodwill Construction Training Program and upskill individuals in the trades, while creating a pipeline of future employees.” stated David Rey, CEO, Goodwill Industries of North Florida.

Since its inception, the REI Games has raised nearly $80,000 for local charities. ETM and its partner organizations have welcomed 700 participants working in the real estate and development industry to compete. The 4th Annual Real Estate and Infrastructure Games will take place in the Spring of 2025.

“We are grateful for generous local support that protects the hearts of those you love,” said Caitlin Brunell, Executive Director, American Heart Association. “We remain committed to fighting the nation’s No.1 and No.3 killers heart disease and stroke. As we forge ahead into our Second Century, we will continue to drive equitable health and focus our educational efforts across Northeast Florida on tobacco and vaping cessation, CPR, nutrition security and maternal health.”
