June 10 - August 2
What:
The Museum of Science & History (MOSH) will host weekly Discovery Camps this Summer, bringing the joy of lifelong learning to kids all summer long. This year’s camp offers multiple themes throughout the course of the summer, including, Dino Freeze, SciQuest, MOSH’s School of Magic, Art in Action, and many more.
Camps begin on June 10 and run weekly through August 2, 2024. Campers will be broken out into age groups (Kindergarten, first and second graders, third and fourth graders, and finally fifth and sixth graders) and spend their time in various settings, including in the classroom, the Museum, and outside. Campers will fill their days learning about a given topic through hands-on demonstrations, experiments and crafts, and will be able to attend at least one science, animal or planetarium show per day. Each week is programmed independently, including two shortened weeks due to holidays, and a week that includes a field trip to the Kennedy Space Center. Full details for each week of camp can be found at themosh.org/educate/discoverycamps.
Camps take place from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Extended Care is available, allowing registered campers to be dropped off as early as 8 a.m. and picked up as late as 5 p.m. Extended care can be added at the time of registration for an additional $17 per day. Camp registration starts at $168 per week, per camper, and includes all activities and a camp shirt. Scholarship opportunities may be available; to inquire, please email the Education Manager.
Registration is now open; visit themosh.org/educate/discoverycamps for more information and to register your child.
Please note: Discovery Camp does not include food; campers will bring their own lunches and snacks.
