WHAT:
Feeding Northeast Florida (FNEFL), the region’s largest food bank, will host additional food distributions dedicated to childhood hunger throughout the summer. The next “summer hunger” distribution will take place on Friday, June 21 at Greenfield Elementary School, located at 6343 Knights Lane, North.
The drive-thru distribution event will be equipped to serve up to 500 households on a first come, first serve basis as supplies last.
“Summer Hunger” distributions will focus on combating childhood hunger issues by supporting children and families across Duval County, and will bring healthy, nutritious food and resources to those in need. These large-scale distributions will be held at area schools across the county, and will be in addition to the more than 150 standing distributions taking place each month.
Members of the media are invited to attend the events for photo, b-roll and interview opportunities. Please plan to arrive by 1:45 p.m.
