Jacksonville, Fla. (July 1, 2024) Job seekers interested in careers in the healthcare industry can talk directly with representatives from six major healthcare providers at the next Recruitment Wednesday hiring event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10 at the CareerSource Northeast Florida (CareerSource NEFL) Southside Career Center, located at 11268 Beach Blvd. in Jacksonville.
Employers currently scheduled to participate include UF Health, Jacksonville Fire & Rescue, LifeSouth Community Blood Centers, B & E Solution Services LLC, the Sulzbacher Center and Mayo Clinic.
CareerSource NEFL introduced Recruitment Wednesdays in efforts to make it more convenient for job seekers – especially those who may not have easy access to transportation – to meet with multiple employers at a set time and place each week.
Since January, 22 Recruitment Wednesdays have taken place involving more than 50 employers – with more than 500 job seekers taking part over the six-month period.
Job seekers are asked to create a profile on www.employflorida.com prior to each event and can call (904) 997-3100 for more information.
In addition, job seekers have free access to computers, phones, fax machines, copy machines and printers – services available Monday through Friday at all career centers – and can receive job counseling, labor market information and other support from workforce representatives.
