Hyundai Hometown Heroes Contest, Educator Category is back.
Jacksonville, FL: — News4JAX.com is excited to announce the return of the Hyundai Hometown Heroes contest, dedicated to honoring outstanding teachers in the Jacksonville community. This initiative aims to shine a spotlight on educators whose dedication and impact have made a significant difference in the lives of their students and beyond.
The Hyundai Hometown Heroes contest invites nominations from students, parents, colleagues, and community members who wish to recognize a teacher, administrator or educator who has gone above and beyond in their role. Nominations can be submitted online through the News4JAX.com website starting July 29th, with the submission period running until August 11th followed by a voting period running from August 12th to August 25th.
"We are thrilled to partner with Hyundai to highlight the incredible contributions of all the educators in our communities," said Terri Cope Walton, WJXT Vice President & General Manager. "It is more important than ever to celebrate and acknowledge the dedication and hard work of our local teachers. We want each school in our viewing area to share this contest with students, their families, faculty, and staff, so everyone can have a chance to nominate and vote for their hometown heroes.”
Nominees will be evaluated based on criteria such as their impact on students, innovative teaching methods, community involvement, and overall contribution to education. News4JAX insiders will vote for their favorite nominee to select a group of 4 finalists. A panel of judges will review the submissions and choose a winner from those finalists to receive a 2024 Hyundai Tucson.
The winner of the Hyundai Hometown Heroes contest will receive a 2024 Hyundai Tucson. Additionally, News4JAX.com will spotlight the winning educator in a dedicated feature story and video, showcasing their achievements and the positive influence they have had in Jacksonville.
